The latest Mercedes A class is Mercedes's smallest hatchback. It was released in 2012, its assembly is done in Rastatt, Germany. It is a hatchback. It's layout is a front engine front wheel drive or four wheel drive. You can get it with a 1.5 litre V4,1.6 litre V4, !.8 litre V4, 2.0 litre V4, 2.2 litre V4.It's transmission is a 6 speed manual or a 7 speed automatic. It's rivals are the BMW 1 Series, Audi A3 and VW Golf. 
    


The cheapest one has a top speed of 126MPH and does 0-62 in 9.2 seconds and costs 20715 pounds but the fastest one has a top speed of has a top speed of 155MPH and does 0-62 in 4.6 seconds and costs 38195 pounds. The good points are that it has good looks, it can go round corners really good and has a good range of engines. The bad points are that it isn't as fun to drive as a BMW 1 series, the automatic gear box can be a bit slow to respond and the windows are a bit too small.
   

The latest BMW 1 series

The latest BMW 1 series is BMW's latest smallest hatchback. It was released in 2011, it's assembly is done in Leipzig, Germany. It is a hatchback. It,s layout is a front engine rear wheel drive or 4 wheel drive. You can get it with a 1.6 litre V4, a 2.0 litre V4 or a 3.0 litre V6. It's transmission is a 6 speed manual or a 8 speed ZF 8HP automatic. It's rivals are the Mercedes A class, Audi A3 and VW Golf.  

The cheapest one has a top speed of 121MPH and does 0-62 in 11.2 seconds and costs 17775 pounds but the fastest one has a top speed of 155MPH and does 0-62 in 5.1 seconds and costs 31365 pounds. The good points are that it is fun to drive, it has economical engines and it has a well built interior. The bad points are that there isn't that much leg room, ther is poor rear visibility and it's gear box can feel a bit springy.            

Peugeot 208

The Peugeot 208 is one of Peugeot's best hatchbacks. It was released in 2012, it's assembly is done in France, Poissy. It is a supermini. It's layout is a front engine front wheel drive. You can get it with a 1.0 litre V3, a 1.2 litre V3, 1.4 litre V4 or a 1.6 litre V4. It's transmission is a 4 speed automatic, a 5 speed manual or a 6 speed manual. It's rivals are the latest Ford Fiesta and the latest Renault Clio.   

The slowest and cheapest one has a top speed of 101MPH and does 0-62 14.0 seconds and costs 9995 pounds but the fastest and most expensive one has a top speed of 134MPH and does 0-62 in 7.3 seconds and costs 17695 pounds. The good points are that it is generously equipped, it is economical and it is good looking. The bad points are that it has a loose manual gearbox it is not as engaging as the latest Fiesta and the dashboard is compromised.

You can get it with a 0.9 V3, a 1.2 litre V4 or a 1.5 litre V4. It's transmission is a 5 speed manual or a 6 speed automatic. It competes with the Ford Fiesta and Peugeot 208.  

The slowest and cheapest one has a top speed of 104MPH and does 0-62 in 14.5 seconds and costs 10795 pounds but the fastest and most expensive one has a top speed of 121MPH and does 0-62 in 9.9 seconds and costs 17595 pounds. The good points are that it looks good , it has economical engines and it has lots of options. The bad points are that there is no estate version in UK, there is light steering and it rolls about in the corners.

The latest Ford Fiesta is one of the best supermini you can get. It was released in 2008, it's assembly is done in Cologne, Germany. It is a supermini. It's layout is a front engine front wheel drive. You can get it with a 1.0 litre ecoboost V3, a 1.25 litre V4, a 1.4 litre V4 or a 1.6 litre V4. It's transmission is a 4 speed automatic, a 5 speed manual or a 6 speed powershift. It competes the Renault Clio and Peugeot 208.    

The slowest and cheapest one has a top speed of 94MPH and does 0-62 in 16.9 seconds and costs 9995 pounds but the most expensive and fastest one has a top speed of 122MPH and does 0-62 in 9.4 seconds and costs 15495 pounds. The good points are that it has good looks, it has economical engines and it is fun to drive. The bad points are that the boot is small, automatic only available with one engine and that the rear seats are cramped.

It's layout is a front engine rear wheel drive or 4 wheel drive. You can get it with a 2.0 litre V4, a 2.1 litre V4 or a 3.0 litre V6. It's transmission is a 5 speed autoimatic, a 6 speed manual, a 7 speed automatic or 9 speed automatic. It competes with the BMW 3 series, Audi A6 and Mercedes E class.      

The slowest and cheapest one has a top speed of 142MPH and does 0-62 in 8.7 seconds and costs 32750 pounds but the most expensive and fastest  one has a top speed of 155MPH and does 0-62 in 6.6 seconds and costs 41255 pounds. The good points are that it has a good range of engines, really quiet and it has an interior with good quality. The bad points is that it is not as fun as the BMW 5 series, the AMG models are expensive and it has an interior short on flair.

The cheapest and slowest one has a top speed of 130MPH and does 0-62 in 10.5 seconds and costs 29945 pounds but the most expensive and fastest one has a top speed of 186 MPH and does 0-62 in 4.6 seconds and costs 79995 pounds. The good points are that it has great engines, it has a nice interior and it is comfortable. It's bad points are that it has a small engine range, it has poor rear legroom compared to rivals and the basic petrol model is expensive to run.
