The latest BMW 1 series

The latest BMW 1 series is BMW's latest smallest hatchback. It was released in 2011, it's assembly is done in Leipzig, Germany. It is a hatchback. It,s layout is a front engine rear wheel drive or 4 wheel drive. You can get it with a 1.6 litre V4, a 2.0 litre V4 or a 3.0 litre V6. It's transmission is a 6 speed manual or a 8 speed ZF 8HP automatic. It's rivals are the Mercedes A class, Audi A3 and VW Golf.  


The cheapest one has a top speed of 121MPH and does 0-62 in 11.2 seconds and costs 17775 pounds but the fastest one has a top speed of 155MPH and does 0-62 in 5.1 seconds and costs 31365 pounds. The good points are that it is fun to drive, it has economical engines and it has a well built interior. The bad points are that there isn't that much leg room, ther is poor rear visibility and it's gear box can feel a bit springy.

Peugeot 208

The Peugeot 208 is one of Peugeot's best hatchbacks. It was released in 2012, it's assembly is done in France, Poissy. It is a supermini. It's layout is a front engine front wheel drive. You can get it with a 1.0 litre V3, a 1.2 litre V3, 1.4 litre V4 or a 1.6 litre V4. It's transmission is a 4 speed automatic, a 5 speed manual or a 6 speed manual. It's rivals are the latest Ford Fiesta and the latest Renault Clio.   

The slowest and cheapest one has a top speed of 101MPH and does 0-62 14.0 seconds and costs 9995 pounds but the fastest and most expensive one has a top speed of 134MPH and does 0-62 in 7.3 seconds and costs 17695 pounds. The good points are that it is generously equipped, it is economical and it is good looking. The bad points are that it has a loose manual gearbox it is not as engaging as the latest Fiesta and the dashboard is compromised.

The latest Renault Clio

The latest Renault Clio is one of Renault's best hatchbacks. It was released in 2012, it's assembly is done in Flins, France. It is a supermini. It's layout is a front engine front wheel drive. You can get it with a 0.9 V3, a 1.2 litre V4 or a 1.5 litre V4. It's transmission is a 5 speed manual or a 6 speed automatic. It competes with the Ford Fiesta and Peugeot 208.  
The slowest and cheapest one has a top speed of 104MPH and does 0-62 in 14.5 seconds and costs 10795 pounds but the fastest and most expensive one has a top speed of 121MPH and does 0-62 in 9.9 seconds and costs 17595 pounds. The good points are that it looks good , it has economical engines and it has lots of options. The bad points are that there is no estate version in UK, there is light steering and it rolls about in the corners.
